Supply Chain and Customer Service (SCCS) Manager

The ideal Supply Chain Manager will have a strong understanding of information flow and product flow as well as a proven track record in order fulfillment, inventory management and procurement.

•Assist in new system development for forecasting, planning, purchasing and distribution

•Work with key customer/national accounts to create a demand plan to include volume, mix, trends, and timing

•Act as the key liaison between customer(s) and suppliers

•Monitor inventory levels onsite through forecasting and planning to minimize costs and increase inventory turns

•Purchasing in support of manufacturing’s day to day operations; including administering the vendor quality management system and negotiating contracts including complex raw material contracts and supporting toll-manufacturing activities.

•MRO experience is a plus

•Customer Service; Working closely with each market segment leader to demonstrate and define advantages of our services to the customer; coordinates on a daily basis with the customer service team.

•ERP and MRP System onsite expert generating reports and looking for opportunities to improve company performance under the purchasing, shipping and logistics functions; assist other employees with advanced functionality training. Knowledge of QAD and SAP desirable •Warehousing and Spare Parts Inventories; Works closely with the plant operations team to determine/assist in procurement of operational needs to include special projects and spare parts inventory.




This position is open to individuals who have worked as a direct employee in a manufacturing site. You must have at least 10 years’ experience in Inventory/ Supply Chain Management as a career foundation in a manufacturing company.

•Associate’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering Degree or a related field strongly preferred •10 years of progressive experience in supply chain and inventory management

•10 years as a manager – managing department and people •Experience in automotive manufacturing required** •Working knowledge of ERP systems. Experience in QAD is a plus.

•Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in supply chain/inventory management with a small manufacturing company or similar industrial set. Experience in a for profit company is critical.

•Some experience with contract and purchase price negations •Experience in dealing with customers and operating in context that corporation succeeds only when customers are satisfied.

•Excellent oral and written communication skills.

•Strong computer skills in spreadsheet, word-processing, and financial base software.

•Ability to work collegially with all corporate personnel and as part of a cross-functional team whether as the leader or participant.

•Ability to identify problems or potential problems and develop and implements solutions.

•Authorized to work for any employer in the USA without restrictions.

•APICS (CPIM) certification preferred
